Bac Giang honors two outstanding teachers and three Olympiad gold medalists
BAC GIANG - On August 2, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province organized a meeting to commend and reward 3 students of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted who have just won Gold Medals in Physics and Chemistry at the 2024 International Olympiad, including: Than The Cong and Truong Phi Hung (both won the Gold Medal in Physics); Giap Vu Son Ha (Gold Medal in Chemistry) as well as award Certificates of Merit to two outstanding teachers.
In the 2024 International Olympiad, the Ministry of Education and Training established 5 teams of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Informatics. Three students from Bac Giang province were selected to join the Physics and Chemistry teams.

The 2024 International Physics Olympiad was held from July 20 - 29 in Iran. All 5 candidates of the Vietnamese national team won medals, including two golds and three silvers.
The Vietnamese delegation was listed in the group of countries with the highest results at this year event. The experimental exam scores of Vietnamese candidates made a breakthrough compared to previous exams, especially two gold medalists.

The 2024 International Chemistry Olympiad was launched from July 21 - 30 in Saudi Arabia attracting 327 contestants from 89 countries and territories.
All four members of the Vietnamese national team participated in the event and won medals (3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal). With this result, Vietnam ranked 2nd out of 89 participating countries and territories.

This is a miracle, for the first time in a school year, Bac Giang province had 3 students participating in the international Olympiad and all winning Gold Medals.
Speaking here, the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong congratulated and praised the outstanding achievements of the students: Than The Cong, Truong Phi Hung, Giap Vu Son Ha together with the great contributions of the staff and teachers of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted to such achievement in 2024 international Olympiad.

He affirmed that this is a milestone in the educational development of Bac Giang province and a great joy for the Party Committee, local government and people. The three students represent the young generation of the province who will continue making more contributions to the construction and development of their homeland and country.

BAC GIANG - According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training on July 28, the Vietnamese national team won 2 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals at the 2024 International Physics Olympiad (IPhO).
Vietnamese athletes who win an Olympic gold can get as much as US$1 million in reward, plus other bonuses.
The 20-year-old student Dang Ngoc Anh has just excellently won the gold prize at the 2024 Asia Arts Festival.
BAC GIANG- Pham Tien San (from Bac Giang) on July 15 won a gold medal in the men’s single duathlon event at the 2024 National Triathlon Championship.
