Bac Ninh certifies 356 farms under VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards
BAC NINH - A total of 356 farming, livestock and aquaculture facilities in Bac Ninh province have been certified under VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, reflecting a push toward safer and more sustainable agricultural production.
Alongside central government support, provincial authorities have rolled out policies to promote safe and organic farming, accelerate digital transformation in agriculture, digitise growing areas, build product brands and expand domestic and export markets.

To date, 50 crop production facilities covering 4,255 hectares have received VietGAP, GlobalGAP or equivalent certifications. The province also counts 300 aquaculture facilities spanning 311 hectares, with annual output reaching 4,665 tonnes, and six livestock farms certified under VietGAP standards.
According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, organic and safe agricultural products are purchased by businesses and distributors at prices 20–30% higher than those of conventional produce.
The shift toward organic and ecological farming is also changing traditional cultivation practices, steering agriculture toward a more market-oriented and environmentally friendly model.
