Construction of the bridge and approach roads began in June 2022 with a total investment of nearly 1.5 trillion VND from the provincial budget.

The project was built by a consortium comprising Thuan An Construction and Trading Development JSC, Trung Chinh Trading and Construction Co., Ltd., and 168 Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Investment JSC.

The project’s investor is Bac Ninh Province’s Project Management Board No. 1 for transport and agricultural infrastructure.

According to the design, the bridge spans more than 811 metres with a deck width of 23.5 metres. Built across the Thuong River, it connects Bac Ninh province with Hai Phong city. This is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in Bac Ninh.

The approach roads on both sides are nearly 7 km long, designed as class II delta roads with a roadbed width of 22 metres and pavement width of 21.5 metres.

The bridge’s completion facilitates convenient and safe transportation between Bac Ninh province and Hai Phong city, promoting goods circulation and attracting investment into local industrial parks and clusters.
