Van Ninh 63MVA, 110/35(22) kV substation has a total design capacity of 126MVA in phase 1. When it operates at full capacity, the substation will meet power demand of all factories in Gia Binh II IP and fully supply electricity for FDI companies.

The 63MVA, 110kV/35(22) kV transformer is manufactured by Tokyo - Japan – Hanaka 110 - 500kV electrical equipment joint stock company.

Gia Binh II IP is the location of Glory Faith - Kingboard Group, the top global printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer and one of the earliest and biggest customers preparing to start operation in the IP.

Successful energization of the substation marked the progress of cooperation between Tokyo Electric Power Company and Hanaka Group in the transfer of green and sustainable energy technologies, which helps to reduce power consumption losses.

It also contributed to building confidence among foreign investors to continue expanding their investments, making an important contribution to securing the leading position of Bac Ninh province nationwide in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).

Previously, Hanaka Group and Takaoka Toko Company signed a cooperation agreement on technology transfer in manufacturing 110 - 500kV transmission transformers in May 2023.

Gia Binh II IP is under construction in phase 1 on an area of about 250 hectares (including 175 hectares of industrial land for lease).

The total investment is approximately 4 trillion VND (151 million USD) under the ecological- circular and environmentally friendly model. It will be expanded by 140 hectares in phase 2 to increase the total area to nearly 400 hectares.

With favourable geographical location, integrated infrastructure and joint efforts of Hanaka Group, Gia Binh II IP becomes attractive for many domestic and foreign investors to implement projects, particularly Glory Faith - Kingboard Group Group, Vonmax Industry and Zhangxiang Technology Companies…

PM stresses principle of mutual benefit in nuclear power project negotiations
