At the event, Kim Seung Wook, Human Resources Director of Samsung Display Vietnam, handed each student 2 million VND (88 USD) in cash and a gift worth 500,000 VND.

Samsung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd hands over scholarships to impoverished students striving to excel in their studies.

The beneficiaries included pupils from primary, secondary and high schools across Bac Ninh province. The support, given at the start of the new school year, is expected to ease the cost of study materials and encourage students to continue working hard to become responsible citizens.

The scholarship initiative is an annual programme jointly organized by the association and Samsung Display Vietnam. Over the past decade, the scheme has provided 1,700 scholarships and gifts worth a total of 1.9 billion VND to students in the province.

Many former recipients have since become engineers and skilled workers at local companies, including Samsung, contributing to Bac Ninh’s socio-economic development.

Organizers said the programme reflects the company’s commitment to social responsibility while supporting the government’s policy of “leaving no one behind.”
